General Notes

May 10, 2005
- The CSS fixes resolving rendering problems for very large fonts implemented in May 03, 2005's snapshot result in new rendering problems in Opera 7.54 where main navigation is misrendered in screen mode. "Rendering: text / print version." and "www.gentoo.org" text overlaps in print mode in both Opera 7.54 and Firefox 1.0.3 (identified by Jan Dušek, May 04, 2005).

August 07, 2005 - Snapshot: gentoo08072005.rar
- Appearance: Moved Document Actions and Document Credits (formerly Document Authors) to the sidebar due to concerns raised on the mailing list regarding long list of authors.
- Reference Pages: Changed all pages to reflect new Sidebar component.
- CSS: Changed all CSS (except Global files and font selector files) to reflect new Sidebar component.
- CSS: Very minor reorganization of the cascade to better reflect Global and Site-level rules (mainly as a result of Sidebar implementation).
May 03, 2005 - Snapshot: gentoo05032005.rar
- Functionality: Changed font-size selector increments. 3 sizes total, added one larger size, eliminated smaller size (as of now normal size = smallest available).
- Reference Pages: Finished up More Headlines, Guide Page, Printable Guide Page.
- CSS: Reduced CSS attachment clutter in HTML → Imported Global CSS's within site-specific CSS's, and imported site-specific CSS's within page-specific CSS's. As a result, you get a nice Global > Site-Specific > Page-Specific cascade with only 1 attachment line in the HTML.
- CSS: Changed nearly all CSS files to improve screen rendering re: very large fonts, removed left indentation of paragraphs, changed sizes for font-size selector function, made some general improvements.
- CSS: Added new CSS to gentoo.css to reflect new reference pages: More Headlines, Guide Page.
- CSS: Changed gentooprint.css to reflect new reference pages: More Headlines, Guide Page.
- Other: Created this page to provide a status report on progress.
